At the time of writing this review I had to install 10GB from Steam but the game may get updated frequently so keep that in mind. It's a Steamworks game so don't expect to install the entire game from the disc. Between this and MGSV, September is turning out to be a great month.
Expect to get at least 4-0-50 hours of casual gameplay and even more if you're a completionist. Overall though, I really recommend the game. It's kind of repetitive but if you enjoy the gameplay you'll keep pushing forward.Īs I said, I'm a bit biased towards the game so take this review with a grain of salt. The Wasteland is massive and has a ton of stuff to do though don't expect deep and fulfilling sidequests. The car combat is brutal and this is where the game really shines. The car control might seem a little sesitive but don't worry. Driving the opus and upgrading it is a pure joy. The real meat of the gameplay is The Magnum Opus. The combat is like the Arkham or AC series. The story is kind of mediocre but it was expected given this was developed by the guy's who made Just Cause.
I have a Radeon HD7850 which might as well be ancient by today's standards and I'm getting stable 40-50fps on 1080p MAX settings (pun intended). Fight to stay alive in The Wasteland using brutal. The game runs like hot knife through butter even on a mid range pc. Become Mad Max, the lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. I was really nervous since this is published by WB and has Denuvo DRM but boy, was i wrong. I mean my reasoning is that even if the game turns out to be disappointing it'll still be worth it just because I get to drive around the wasteland as Mad effin Max. Okay so first off, I'm a huge fan of the movie series so I might be a bit biased towards this game.
